District Judge Neil Hickman – of Milton Keynes County Court, a District Judge since 2000 and previously a solicitor specialising in landlord and tenant work, is Joint General Editor of the Civil Court Service and was a member of the Working Party which considered possession orders in the light of Harlow DC v Hall. He will be pointing out “some Heffalump traps and how to avoid them”.
Jon Holbrook – a barrister with 2-3 Gray’s Inn since 2006, Jon’s first 13 years at the bar were spent as a legal aid practitioner. He is now recognised as a leading junior for his expertise, forthright advice and skills as an advocate in social housing and public and administrative law. Jon will be focusing on rent arrears – the protocol, payment periods, PPOs/SPOs and warrant suspensions.
Nick Billingham – a solicitor and partner with Devonshires will chair the meeting.
