SUMMARY:Housing Allocation Fraud
DESCRIPTION:VIRTUAL EVENT \nHousing allocation fraud is not only a criminal offence but more commonly the basis for civil possession proceedings brought by social landlords under Grounds 5 (secure tenancies) or 17 (assured tenancies) of the Housing Acts of 1985 and 1988 respectively. This session will discuss and explain appropriate investigation and evidential issues alongside the necessary legal framework. \nThe presenters for this session are Laura Piggott (Counter Fraud Manager at the London Borough of Hillingdon)\, and Andy Lane (Barrister at Cornerstone Barristers).
