Due to an increase in work, 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square is seeking to recruit up to two third six pupils, specialising in housing and property law, to commence in Autumn 2021.

4-5 Gray’s Inn Square is a leading public and commercial law barristers’ chambers.

Chambers is recognised for its breadth of its expertise in housing and property law and is ranked in Band 1 in the major directories. Our other core practice areas are public, commercial, planning, international, regulatory & disciplinary and sports law.

We are committed to the provision of creative and practical legal advice responsive to the commercial needs of our clients and has a reputation for excellence in all of our practice areas. Our barristers are supported by a first class clerking and business management team. We pride ourselves on providing a friendly and supportive work environment for members.

Applicants should have an excellent academic background, strong inter-personal and advocacy skills, a dedication to practising at the self-employed bar, and have experience of housing and property law.

All offers will be made with a view to tenancy being offered on successful completion of a third six pupillage.

Applications should include a covering letter explaining why the candidate is applying to Chambers, a CV, a short description of work undertaken during pupillage, an anonymised piece of written work, and any references or details of referees that the applicant wishes chambers to consider. References from former pupil supervisors are considered particularly useful.
