Access injunctions – a review of recent case law, with particular emphasis on forced access provisions, followed by a round table discussion as to regional practices

July 2 @ 17:00 - 19:00

Presented by Richard Dewsbery and Timothy Jones from St Ives Chambers, and chaired by Dot Pawlowski.

Richard and Timothy will be looking at the topic of access injunctions, where the landlord needs to gain access to its property but is encountering resistance, indifference or obstinacy from its tenant.

This is an area which has seen a number of recent decisions – decisions that are not always easy to reconcile, and which are viewed against the background of nothing in the way of binding precedent from the higher courts.

As well as looking at what the competing decisions mean for these sort of applications, Richard and Tim will be offering some practical advice as to how some of the usual objections and hurdles may be overcome, before moving to a round table discussion where participants can share their experiences of applying for these sort of orders.
