Housing Allocation Fraud

Housing allocation fraud is not only a criminal offence but more commonly the basis for civil possession proceedings brought by social landlords under Grounds 5 (secure tenancies) or 17 (assured tenancies) of the Housing Acts of 1985 and 1988 respectively. This session will discuss and explain appropriate investigation and evidential issues alongside the necessary legal framework.
The presenters for this session are Laura Piggott (Counter Fraud Manager at the London Borough of Hillingdon), and Andy Lane (Barrister at Cornerstone Barristers). Chairing this session will be Kelly Lloyd, Senior Associate at Devonshires.
